WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

Coordinates, monitors, and performs technical processes related to Welding shop in maintenance department to meet company goals
Report on status of assigned tasks at beginning, during and conclusion
Develop detailed action plan to meet shop wise maintenance index. (Downtime, PM Plan & Actual, Equipment monitoring system, Equipment improvements, Safety/Environmental etc.)
Prepare a detailed training plan for each team member to meet skill level target of each section
Prepare & execute annual operation plan and report status of each task
Support AM Manager to encourage good teamwork. (Meeting, Events, Collaboration)
Analysis Welding shop downtime and provide improvement plan
Need Flexible work schedule based on department shift rotation plan and can be requested to take care any urgent equipment issue (Night, Weekends, Holidays)
Analysis shop wise maintenance budget of the year
Verify exact specification of all parts and create material numbers to make PR
First counterpart for purchasing team to get PO of each PR process
In charge of PR, parts receiving, organizing, parts issuing and payment with supervisor’s approval
Monitor purchasing, distribution, and inventory control of maintenance material. (Include Tools, Subsidiary materials etc.)

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Coordinates, monitors, and performs function as directly and indirectly related to facility management activities in an automotive manufacturing environment to meet and exceed company goals and objectives. Conducts audits of utility machinery operating conditions and provides recommendations for utility machinery maintenance based on findings.
• Performing a various function such as planning, installation, inspection, corrective, scheduled, and preventative maintenance on utility/WWTP equipment including air compressors, HVAC units, piping, chillers, cooling towers, generators, etc.

• Visually inspect utility equipment and facility issues to locate potential malfunctions, wear, misalignment, defective parts, and deterioration.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Understand program sourcing and key milestone in support of launch.
Identify potential suppliers, analyze capabilities, determine price, and select suppliers with Engineering and/or other relevant teams.
Select, develop, and manage supply base of assigned commodities by:

– Preparing and owning RFI’s, RFP’s and RFQ’s for multi-year full production volume

– Preparing bid packages, performing bidder conference, analyzing, evaluating proposals, negotiating with, and recommending suppliers, and administering resulting contracts

– Negotiating long term agreements and maintaining best-in-class pricing

– Leading cost reduction activities

Develop all assigned commodities with sourced supplier meeting all required specification and timing.
Evaluate and provide guidance on final selection of suppliers. Assess supplier core competencies and cost competitiveness using HKMC and industry “should-cost” models.
Direct, manage and guide suppliers from “cradle to grave” through HMG’s established Parts Development process and activities.
Develop and achieve target quality level at each milestone from development phase leading to mass production and establish improvement plans/countermeasures for problematic parts/suppliers or any relevant issues that impact Quality and Delivery.
Drive flawless launches at assigned supplier sites, collaborating with cross functional teams through adherence to ISIR (PPAP), proactively detecting and promptly responding to any significant issues related to delivery, cost, and quality.
Hold effective working-level meetings with suppliers/partners for fast issue closure and relationship development.
Continuously negotiate with suppliers for the best-in-class piece price and tooling cost to achieve target vehicle cost.
Develop purchasing strategies with Engineering, Quality, Production, and other relevant teams.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain, Finance or Accounting or related field from accredited university
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, especially Excel and PowerPoint, required.

Preferred:

Intermediate – Minimum 5 years of related job experience
Years of experience from Automotive industry in Purchasing, APQP, PPAP, Supplier Development/Engineering, Launch, Program Management, or related fields strongly preferred.
Experience in manufacturing process including, but not limited to, injection molding, press, stamping, die casting, welding, assembly, paint, chroming and other surface treatments, foaming, cut & sew, SMC, extrusion, SMT, various raw materials, and more. Experience with cockpit module, seat assembly, HVAC systems preferred.
Experience from OEM or major commodity suppliers strongly preferred.
Experience in understanding, analyzing, and breaking down piece price.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Responsible for all purchasing activities (S/R Review with ENG, RFQ Release, Quotation Analysis, Recommendation) related to cost, quality and service for Direct Materials, MRO(Maintenance, Repair, and Operating) products and services
Manage commercial negotiations with supplier and mitigate commercial risk
Actively lead the commodity development, sourcing/negotiations, budget management (Saving/Material Cost) and interface with supplier or internal counterpart
Establish/strengthen supplier relationships for better alignment
Manage commodity development, quality and parts procurement from both local and import parts
Strive to drive improvement to the purchasing organization’s processes
Work with critical supplier, assisting them in developing a short term ‘Build and Ship’ plan that supports production at HMGMA assembly plant and focus on a long-term supply plan for critical components
Major Responsibilities
• Find the local potential supplier in NA and select the most competitive supplier for EV programs
• Negotiate with supplier for the best material and tooling cost to achieve the vehicle target cost.
• Develop all the commodities with sourced supplier meeting required specification and development timing
• Manage material logistic from supplier and prevent disruptions in the flow of production parts
• Constantly develop new technologies and processes
• Develop purchasing strategies with Engineering and Suppliers to ensure secure supply at best cost

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

Bachelor’s Degree required in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business, Administration, or other related areas
Training / Certification as a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation preferred
Minimum 2 years’ experience in parts development and procurement (Seat Assembly / Instrument Panel, Exterior(Glass/Wiper etc), HVAC System
Developing Contracts / Agreements and project execution
Skills / Knowledge:

Negotiating long term agreements and maintaining best-in-class pricing.
Leading cost reduction activities.
Develop all assigned commodities with sourced supplier meeting all required specification and timing.
Evaluate and provide guidance on final selection of suppliers. Assess supplier core competencies and cost competitiveness using HKMC and industry “should-cost” models.
Direct, manage and guide suppliers from “cradle to grave” through HMG’s established Parts Development process and activities.
Develop and achieve target quality level at each milestone from development phase leading to mass production and establish improvement plans/countermeasures for problematic parts/suppliers or any relevant issues that impact Quality and Delivery.
Drive flawless launches at assigned supplier sites, collaborating with cross functional teams through adherence to ISIR (PPAP), proactively detecting and promptly responding to any significant issues related to delivery, cost, and quality.
Hold effective working-level meetings with suppliers/partners for fast issue closure and relationship development.
Continuously negotiate with suppliers for the best-in-class piece price and tooling cost to achieve target vehicle cost.
Develop purchasing strategies with Engineering, Quality, Production, and other relevant teams.
