WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Support the Stamping department by repairing and maintaining automotive press stamping dies. Perform complex die repairs and modifications (stamping die repair, die spot, design changes. etc.); identify concerns and recommend countermeasures. Perform corrective, scheduled, and preventive maintenance on die equipment.
- Review Troubleshoot die performance in stamping press to resolve or enhance form-ability issues.
- Perform preventative maintenance on stamping dies according to standardized procedures.
- Perform preventative maintenance on dies between production runs.
- Weld and hand grind tool steels to meet die specifications.
- Perform machining and fabricating on stamping dies for repair or improvement.
- Monitor completed repairs for continuous improvement.
- Support tryout of new dies in press line equipment. Conduct test runs with dies to ensure that parts meet specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
- Meet repair and preventative maintenance (PM) schedule times to maintain daily stamping production.
- Troubleshoot and correct quality issues on press line.
- Maintain and continuously improve quality on all stamping parts including stamping panels.
- Communicate with all levels of management on die issues and die repairs as necessary to maintain production schedules.
- Operate overhead crane to load, unload, lift, position, and insert dies in press on a daily basis.
- Perform tig and stick welds, use hand grinders, run surface grinders, manual mill, manual lathe, try out press, and basic mathematics.
- Read and study blueprints or specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating or repairing dies.
- Promote safety continuously; solve problems quickly to improve safety, quality, and productivity of stamping dies.

Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety / EHS Specialist to support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives at our Rincon, GA manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring regulatory compliance, driving safety culture, supporting training programs, conducting inspections, and assisting with incident reporting across a multi-shift manufacturing environment.
This role plays a vital part in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace for all employees while supporting operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety and EHS programs
- Support compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state/local safety and environmental regulations
- Conduct routine safety inspections, hazard assessments, and job safety analyses (JSAs)
- Assist in incident investigations, prepare accurate documentation, and identify corrective actions
- Maintain OSHA recordkeeping requirements, including OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 logs
- Coordinate and deliver safety training and awareness programs in accordance with regulatory and company requirements
- Support emergency response planning, drills, and incident readiness activities
- Promote proper use and maintenance of PPE and safety equipment
- Collect and analyze safety data, assist with reporting, and help identify trends or areas for improvement
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to address safety concerns and promote proactive risk mitigation
Qualifications
Bachelors degree is required (Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred).
- 3-5 years of demonstrated safety or EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA,ISO400, ISO45001 and DOT regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to interact effectively with employees at all levels
- Solid computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Safety certifications (e.g., ASP, CSP, CIH, CHST) are preferred but not required

- Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions. Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem area, using hand tools and power tools.
- Repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment such as mechanical equipment, electrical and electronic equipment, PLCs and control devices, material handling system, and automated lubrication system; follow blueprints and specifications; use hand tools and power tools and precision measuring equipment to perform these functions with good workmanship.
- Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems. Remove and replace worn or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system, using hand tools and power tools, following blueprints, diagrams, and service manuals.
- Realign and adjust components such as motors, gearboxes, clutches, and brakes using hand tools and following diagrams. Locate damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machine, measure, cut, thread, and install new pipe.
- Repair broken metal parts, using cutting, brazing, soldering, and welding equipment grinders and hand tools.
- Modify computer-controlled motion of equipment including robots, applying knowledge of program commands, using PLCs, robot controller and teach pendant.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, layouts, and specifications in the performance of the duties to ensure system integrity is maintained.
