WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Understand program sourcing and key milestone in support of launch.
Identify potential suppliers, analyze capabilities, determine price, and select suppliers with Engineering and/or other relevant teams.
Select, develop, and manage supply base of assigned commodities by preparing and owning RFI’s, RFP’s and RFQ’s for multi-year full production volume; preparing bid packages, performing bidder conference, analyzing, evaluating proposals, negotiating with, and recommending suppliers, and administering resulting contracts; negotiating long term agreements and maintaining best-in-class pricing; and leading cost reduction activities.
Develop all assigned commodities with sourced supplier meeting all required specification and timing.
Evaluate and provide guidance on final selection of suppliers. Assess supplier core competencies and cost competitiveness using HKMC and industry “should-cost” models.
Direct, manage and guide suppliers from “cradle to grave” through HMG’s established Parts Development process and activities.
Develop and achieve target quality level at each milestone from development phase leading to mass production and establish improvement plans/countermeasures for problematic parts/suppliers or any relevant issues that impact Quality and Delivery.
Drive flawless launches at assigned supplier sites, collaborating with cross functional teams through adherence to ISIR (PPAP), proactively detecting and promptly responding to any significant issues related to delivery, cost, and quality.
Hold effective working-level meetings with suppliers/partners for fast issue closure and relationship development.
Continuously negotiate with suppliers for the best-in-class piece price and tooling cost to achieve target vehicle cost.
Develop purchasing strategies with Engineering, Quality, Production, and other relevant teams.
Monitor and support preventing disruptions in supply chain to avoid impact to HMGMA.
Work collaboratively with Engineering (R&D), Quality, and Production Planners.
Plan, organize and disseminate information related to production/potential suppliers.
Maintain up-to-date supply base information database.
Hire, develop, train, and manage a number of buyers.
Meet all other requirements as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain, Finance or Accounting or related field from accredited university.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites, especially Excel and PowerPoint, required.
Preferred:
Intermediate – Minimum 5 years of related job experience.
Years of experience EV Motor/Inverter/Battery (Min 5 Years) from Automotive industry in Purchasing, APQP, PPAP, Supplier Development/Engineering, Launch, Program Management, or related fields strongly preferred.
Experience in manufacturing process including, but not limited to, injection molding, press, stamping, die casting, welding, assembly, paint, chroming and other surface treatments, foaming, SMC, extrusion, SMT, various raw materials, and more.
Experience from OEM or major commodity suppliers strongly preferred.
Experience in understanding, analyzing, and breaking down piece price.
Bilingual preferred – Ability to read, write, and speak any two combinations of English, Korean, and/or Spanish fluently.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Set the various targets in the paint plant and make activities to achieve the targets of the paint plant. And oversee development and achievement of them.
(Targets: Number of units produced, Quality index & HPV, etc.) * HPV: Hour Per Vehicle
Analyze production and quality data, improve the productivity and car paint quality.
Analyze production rate of operation and make activities for operation improvement.
Review items for supplementary investment to improve the paint plant or process and the cost and run.
Coordinate and supervise the work of operators; provide them with feedback on performance. (Include training and managing Team members)
Report the progress of major tasks to a superior or expatriate coordinator.
Report to the immediate superior (or expatriate coordinator) and/or other related production lines if any product or process nonconformity is detected.
Follow the policies or procedures of HMGMA.
Manage the construction progress schedule of the paint plant.
Preparing for the input of new models in paint plant. (Facility modification, tool preparation etc.)
Oversee inspect and manage new model project progress.
Performs events for new vehicle development and Prepare production operations (facility/employee, etc.)
Management for installing new facility about new technology and trial run.
Management for replacing existing old facility and trial run. (Main facilities and conveyor system, robot, and automation system)
Analyze production and quality data during new car production, make countermeasures for quality and productivity enhancement.
Reporting major issues occurring in paint plant (making report materials needed)
Review purchase specifications for production of new vehicle and run.(Including transportation/customs clear
Promotes changes in process through analyses and improve processes, seeing to the rectification of the tools used in order to optimize the manufacturing process. (HPV, Automation, Outsourcing, etc.)
Develop strategies to reduce costs and perform cost reduction activities.(Labor costs, Material costs, Management costs, Energy savings, Improvement of inefficient work, etc.)
Search and support the new level of control and new methods of others.
Develop recruitment planning for paint plant member and performs.
Develop and implement an employee training plan.
Improve the environment of the paint plant and prevent safety accidents.
Taking action safety regulation issues.
Build a good rapport with other manufacturing units for effective communication.
Strengthen organizational power through communication among employees.
Provide guidance and assistance to technicians at a lower level.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

Bachelor’s degree required (Mechanical, Chemical, Material Engineering major preferred).
2+ years of job-related experience.
Experience using Microsoft Office products or equivalent applications.
Deep understanding of external markets and current trends.
Extensive knowledge and experience in data analysis and developing proposals.
Must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require company-approved sponsorship for this position now or in the future.
Must communicate with HMGMA /KMC employees on business.
Job experience related to the automotive industry (Automotive paint plant).

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Responsible for all purchasing activities (S/R Review with ENG, RFQ Release, Quotation Analysis, Recommendation) related to cost, quality and service for Direct Materials, MRO(Maintenance, Repair, and Operating) products and services.
Manage commercial negotiations with supplier and mitigate commercial risk.
Actively lead the commodity development, sourcing/negotiations, budget management (Saving/Material Cost) and interface with supplier or internal counterpart.
Establish/strengthen supplier relationships for better alignment.
Manage commodity development, quality and parts procurement from both local and import parts.
Strive to drive improvement to the purchasing organization’s processes.
Work with critical supplier, assisting them in developing a short term ‘Build and Ship’ plan that supports production at HMGMA assembly plant and focus on a long-term supply plan for critical components.
Major Responsibilities
• Find the local potential supplier in NA and select the most competitive supplier for EV programs.
• Negotiate with supplier for the best material and tooling cost to achieve the vehicle target cost.
• Develop all the commodities with sourced supplier meeting required specification and development timing.
• Manage material logistic from supplier and prevent disruptions in the flow of production parts.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

Bachelor’s Degree required in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business, Administration, or other related areas.
Training / Certification as a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation preferred.
Minimum 2 years’ experience in parts development and procurement (Seat Assembly / Instrument Panel, Exterior(Glass/Wiper etc), HVAC System.
Developing Contracts / Agreements and project execution.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

HMGMA (Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America) IT Infra Innovation Tech. team is responsible for rolling out HMGMA use cases based on Next-generation networking & IT Infra technology (P-5G / WiFi6, VMware vSphere, Kubernetes, Hypervisor etc.). The use case environments include EV manufacturing, automation, logistic, and quality system at HMGMA. Key goals include increased production output, world class product quality, and faster set-up/ramp-up of HMGMA production system. We are looking for a Manufacturing IT Infrastructure Engineer who can undertake/lead the immense challenge of supporting next-generation IT Infra technology (P-5G/WiFi6, VMware vSphere, Docker, Kubernetes etc.).

Identify requirements and develop/build new IT Infra structures and applications
Responsible for supporting and implementing next generation IT infrastructure technologies as like P-5G/Wifi6 and Containerization technologies
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux based system
Provide support for the operation and maintenance of IT systems
Monitor, analyze, and report metrics of IT Infrastructure services
Demonstrate expertise in integrating and optimizing VMware vSphere for virtualization
Provide highly available and reliable IT services collaborating with cross-functional teams
Develop and implement scripts or automation methods to automate infrastructure processes
Continue to learn and apply relevant software development practices, tools, and technologies
Keep up to date with the latest trending technologies

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

Bachelor’s / master’s degree in computer science, IT, or equivalent experience
+3 years of proven experience in IT infrastructure engineering or equivalent experience
Strong understanding of network terminologies, protocol, and infrastructures
Expertise in Linux server administration and troubleshooting
Demonstrated experience in providing support for cross-functional IT systems
Experience in Hypervisor and Virtualization solutions such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V and Docker container
Adequate understanding and experience in DB (Maria DB, Oracle, MSSQL, Tibero)
Proficiency in programing language such as Shell script, Python and SQL
Some familiarity with visualization tools like Grafana or Prometheus

Identify potential suppliers, analyze capabilities, determine price, and select suppliers with Engineering and/or other relevant teams.
Select, develop, and manage supply base of assigned commodities by:
– Preparing and owning RFI’s, RFP’s and RFQ’s for multi-year full production volume
– Preparing bid packages, performing bidder conference, analyzing, evaluating proposals, negotiating with, and recommending suppliers, and administering resulting contracts
– Negotiating long term agreements and maintaining best-in-class pricing
– Leading cost reduction activities
Develop all assigned commodities with sourced supplier meeting all required specification and timing.
Evaluate and provide guidance on final selection of suppliers. Assess supplier core competencies and cost competitiveness using HKMC and industry “should-cost” models.
Direct, manage and guide suppliers from “cradle to grave” through HMG’s established Parts Development process and activities.
Develop and achieve target quality level at each milestone from development phase leading to mass production and establish improvement plans/countermeasures for problematic parts/suppliers or any relevant issues that impact Quality and Delivery.
Drive flawless launches at assigned supplier sites, collaborating with cross functional teams through adherence to ISIR (PPAP), proactively detecting and promptly responding to any significant issues related to delivery, cost, and quality.
Hold effective working-level meetings with suppliers/partners for fast issue closure and relationship development.
Continuously negotiate with suppliers for the best-in-class piece price and tooling cost to achieve target vehicle cost.
Develop purchasing strategies with Engineering, Quality, Production, and other relevant teams.
Monitor and support preventing disruptions in supply chain to avoid impact to HMGMA.
Work collaboratively with Engineering (R&D), Quality, and Production Planners.
Plan, organize and disseminate information related to production/potential suppliers.
Maintain up-to-date supply base information database.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Supply Chain, Finance or Accounting or related field from accredited university required.

Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions. Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem area, using hand tools and power tools.
Repair and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment such as mechanical equipment, electrical and electronic equipment, PLCs and control devices, material handling system, and automated lubrication system; follow blueprints and specifications; use hand tools and power tools and precision measuring equipment to perform these functions with good workmanship.
Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems. Remove and replace worn or defective parts of drive mechanism or hydraulic system, using hand tools and power tools, following blueprints, diagrams, and service manuals.
Realign and adjust components such as motors, gearboxes, clutches, and brakes using hand tools and following diagrams. Locate damaged air and hydraulic pipes on machine, measure, cut, thread, and install new pipe.
Repair broken metal parts, using cutting, brazing, soldering, and welding equipment grinders and hand tools.
Modify computer-controlled motion of equipment including robots, applying knowledge of program commands, using PLCs, robot controller and teach pendant.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, layouts, and specifications in the performance of the duties to ensure system integrity is maintained.
Assist maintenance specialists and management with sketches or computer-generated designs of machine components such as hydraulic system and drive mechanism, applying knowledge of shop mathematics, hydraulics, and mechanics, using computer keyboard and software programs.
Set up and operate metal working tools such as lathe, drill press, or grinder to make repair parts.
Start machines and equipment to test operation following repair.
Operate various powered equipment according to company standards.
