HMGMA is the abbreviation of Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America. It is Hyundai Motor Group’s first dedicated EV mass-production plant and is an innovative plant with cutting-edge production technology applied.
- Assist Attorneys and Legal Specialists in drafting, reviewing, and formatting routine documents, reports, internal memoranda, executive reports, and other correspondence, as assigned.
- Assist Attorneys and Legal Specialists with the development and tracking of Legal Department goals and performance.
- Assist Attorneys with corporate governance management and filings, as needed.
- Compile data from various sources for special and periodic Legal Department reports (e.g., Legal’s results & key performance indicators).
- Assist with special legal projects and continuous improvement initiatives, as needed.
- Organize, maintain, and update electronic legal files.
- Maintain updated standard operating procedures and Legal Department playbook.
- Track and process calendars, schedule meetings and meeting rooms, and coordinate company communications for the Legal Department.
- Assist Attorneys with maintaining the Legal Department’s docket and scheduling needs (i.e. calendaring important dates).
- Assist with planning and scheduling team-building events.
- Assist General Counsel with developing and tracking Legal Department’s annual budget.
- Track and process Legal Department invoices.
- Process Legal Department expenses and assist with managing related accounts for travel, training (e.g., continuing legal education (CLE) registrations), software licensing and other similar expenses, including scheduling, registration and reimbursements.
- Display exemplary ethical behavior, including but not limited to: (1) being free of undue influence and conflicts of interest; (2) strictly complying with HMGMA’s policies and procedures; (3) being honest, transparent, and accountable; (4) reporting all known illegal or unethical behavior; and (5) protecting confidential information.
- Perform all other assignments as required.
- 2+ years of experience as an administrative professional
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Prompt, regular attendance
- Associate’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent experience
- Experience in project management
- Experience in both law firm and corporate settings
- Exposure to international corporate settings
- Understanding of legal terminology, processes, and document standards
- Experience in the automotive, manufacturing or industrial sectors
- Familiarity with corporate governance documentation and compliance workflows

- Position requires flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
- Strong command of the English language (written and spoken) is essential for safety, communication, documentation, and collaboration across the organization.
