Quality Control Line Inspection Assistant Manager – 2nd Shift

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
As the person in charge of quality control of completed vehicles you will:
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct the team activities
  • Recommend actions and drive quality improvement through coordination, monitoring, and performing specialize technical process/ related functions directly related to completed vehicle inspection (including abnormality management) to meet Quality and Production goals
  • Analyze internal and external quality indicators, and determine quality trends to drive continuous improvement in Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost, & HRD metrics
  • Research and investigate quality issues to determine root cause. 
  • Execute and implement quality inspection and improvement activities of mass-produced vehicles, and conducting activities to identify new vehicle projects analysis of completed vehicle to ensure its high quality and conformity to international standards 
  • Assure inspection of materials, products, and equipment to detect defects and malfunctions
  • Establish/improve inspection methods and prevent leakage/ flow out of post-processes 
  • Utilize team to develop, maintain, and ensures the standards and criteria for Line Inspection provides a sound and secure inspection system for a defect free vehicle to our customers
  • Analyze causes of vehicle problems, improvement activities, audit and preparation and implementation of quality meetings 
  • Review early customer statistical, historical, internal and external quality data to prioritize, drive and track inspection improvements in new model and current models
  • Facilitate, recommend actions, and drive improvement through the quality and production departments for completed vehicle quality and continuous improvement activities
  • Quality facility/equipment management, investment cost execution/ management, supplementary investment establishment
  • Coordinate, monitor, and/or participate in plant-wide quality promotion activities and ensure effective communication between all key stakeholders to meet or exceed established goals/expectations
  • Participate in the preparation, consultation, and coordination of external events
  • Participate in new vehicle projects (preparation for inspection, establishment of quality securing plan, and response to evaluation)
  • Coordinate new model launch phase quality-gate meetings for review and analysis of issues of equipment and/or standards

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Coordinates, monitors, and performs technical processes related to Welding shop in maintenance department to meet company goals
  •  Report on status of assigned tasks at beginning, during and conclusion
  • Develop detailed action plan to meet shop wise maintenance index. (Downtime, PM Plan & Actual, Equipment monitoring system, Equipment improvements, Safety/Environmental etc.)
  • Prepare a detailed training plan for each team member to meet skill level target of each section
  • Prepare & execute annual operation plan and report status of each task
  • Support AM Manager to encourage good teamwork. (Meeting, Events, Collaboration)
  • Analysis Welding shop downtime and provide improvement plan
  • Need Flexible work schedule based on department shift rotation plan and can be requested to take care any urgent equipment issue (Night, Weekends, Holidays)
  • Analysis shop wise maintenance budget of the year
  • Verify exact specification of all parts and create material numbers to make PR
  • First counterpart for purchasing team to get PO of each PR process
  • In charge of PR, parts receiving, organizing, parts issuing and payment with supervisor’s approval
  • Monitor purchasing, distribution, and inventory control of maintenance material. (Include Tools, Subsidiary materials etc.)
  • Need excellent communication with AM/MGR to supervise and control conflicts in the organization and take care of individual distress from the work
  • Need to be a mentor for shop members to encourage continuous improvement
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:
  • More than 3 years maintenance career in the field of automated plants
  • Trouble shooting ability for PLC based automation equipment
  • Ability to understand drawing and specifications of electrical, mechanical systems
  • Domestic / International travel required
  • Preferred:
    •    More than 1 year’s welding shop maintenance career in major automotive industry
    •    Holders of mechanical or electrical certifications
    •    AB PLC program and control circuit experience 
    •    Performed many equipment installations including design study, paperwork, inspection and testing new/modified equipment and              processes 
    •    Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

HMGMA (Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America) IT Manufacturing Automation team is responsible for rolling out HMGMA use cases based on Next-generation HMG EV Manufacturing technologies (E-Forest). The use case environments include Advanced Manufacturing technologies, Automation, Robot, and Logistics system at HMGMA.  Key goals include increased production output, world class product quality, and faster set-up/ramp-up of HMGMA production system.

We are looking for a Manufacturing Automation Engineer who can undertake/lead the immense challenge of supporting next-generation HMG EV Manufacturing system (E-Forest) including Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and Spot robot.

•    Responsible for supporting and implementing Advanced Manufacturing Robot and Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs)/Automated Mobile Robots (AMRs), IIoT (Industrial Sensors, Vision system etc.) and Spot Robot.
•    Establish a robust monitoring system provided by HMGMA to ensure optimal reliability and develop a troubleshooting guide for potential issues.
•    Identify/Define needs and design/implement Manufacturing IT/OT system and applications.
•    Examine and visually represent the root causes of equipment downtime and performance issues. 
•    Work closely with HMGMA EV Production technology team and provide highly available and reliable operation and IT services.
•    Continue to learn and apply relevant software development practices, tools, and technologies.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

•    Bachelor’s / master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent experience
•    3 + years of experience as Controls, Automation, or Robotic Engineer working on industrial automation system or equivalent experience.
•    Experience working on AGV/AMR and/or wireless. 
•    Adequate understanding of database and program language (Java, Python, shellscript, C#, DotNet Framework)  
•    Adequate knowledge of monitoring infrastructures and wireless network 
•    Database experience (Maria DB/MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL, Tibero, MongoDB etc)
•    Experience in handling various production machinery, camera, sensors, and other equipment
•    Proven ability to effectively manage projects in a timely manner, delivering on time with allocated resources.
•    Previous experience in handling IT/OT engineering-related projects, with a preference for those involving private 5G technology.
•    Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

This position may be filled at the Counsel or Senior Counsel level, depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications and years of relevant legal experience, as outlined below. Senior Counsel/Counsel – Commercial will support the General Counsel in handling HMGMA legal matters focusing on procurement, trade, antitrust, privacy/cyber security, intellectual property, construction, corporate governance, ESG initiatives and coordinating with other Legal Department Meta Pros to accomplish departmental objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Negotiate, review, draft and advise company on various contracts, including purchase agreements, equipment acquisition, construction contracts, automotive parts supply contracts and other general business support contracts. 
•    Oversee HMGMA’s contract management system and the enforcement of related policies and procedures.
•    Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to HMGMA on a wide range of day-to-day issues to ensure HMGMA complies with various transaction-related legal concepts under Georgia law, Federal law and in the international context, including trade, antitrust, privacy/cyber security, construction, corporate governance and ESG initiatives. 
•    Support HMGMA’s Procurement Division on supply chain management and related initiatives.
•    Assist HMGMA with drafting various transactional policies and procedures.
•    Conduct investigations, audits, and training in the areas of transactional responsibility to help mitigate legal risk and promote best business practices.
•    Research legal issues relating to areas of transactional responsibility. 
•    Track and report any developments in the law relating to areas of transactional responsibility. 
•    Assist General Counsel in tracking and reporting governmental affairs (including legislative, city council, and county commission matters), legal and compliance updates relative to the operation of HMGMA.
•    Draft memoranda to General Counsel, executives, and Meta Pros on various legal topics related to areas of transactional responsibility.
•    Work with Senior Counsel – General Litigation and Regulatory Compliance to handle a variety of investigatory, compliance, auditing, litigation, arbitration, and mediation matters for HMGMA related to areas of transactional responsibility.
•    Supervise and assist with process service and subpoena responses related to transactional matters.
•    Always display exemplary ethical behavior, including but not limited to: (1) being free of undue influence and conflicts of interest; (2) strictly complying with HMGMA policies and procedures; (3) being honest, transparent, and accountable; (4) report all known illegal or unethical behavior; and (5) protecting confidential information.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

Required:
•    Juris Doctor Degree from an ABA-accredited Law School. 
•    Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
•    5+ years of job-related experience for Counsel; 10+ years of job-related experience for Senior Counsel; 5+ years of experience with concentration in areas of transactional responsibility independently handling a variety of contract drafting, negotiation, contract management, litigation, arbitration, and mediation matters for corporations.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
•    Ability to manage multiple priorities and provide clear, practical legal advice in real time
•    Attention to detail, problem solving, visioning and guidance, and leading by example
•    Prompt, regular attendance
•    Occasional Domestic / International travel may be required

Preferred:

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and tooling changes on all production press dies and die-sets to ensure production efficiency.
  • Identify and analyze root causes of panel defects, develop and implement effective countermeasures.
  • Provide technical support and hands-on assistance for new model production preparation, including die trials and check sheets.
  • Design, support, and implement tooling changes to accommodate part or design modifications.
  • Maintain and manage the die-set preventative maintenance (PM) system, including scheduling, documentation, and work instruction updates.
  • Maintain die-set spare parts lists and ensure critical parts are stocked and readily available.
  • Develop and implement systems to reduce defects, improve productivity, and minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate on FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) to identify risks and establish control plans for production dies.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:
  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience in Class A Tool & Die manufacturing and automotive die maintenance and repair, including Tool & Die apprenticeship certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience with high-speed die-sets, including tooling material selection, CNC die surface machining, welding, and spotting
  • Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles, including waste elimination, continuous improvement, and Just-in-Time (JIT)
  • Ability to interpret dimensional inspection results using CMM, checking fixtures, or vision systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project) with strong analytical skills
  • HMC/KMC die experience preferred

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

•    Coordinates, monitors, and performs function as directly and indirectly related to facility management activities in an automotive manufacturing environment to meet and exceed company goals and objectives.  Conducts audits of utility machinery operating conditions and provides recommendations for utility machinery maintenance based on findings. 
•    Performing a various function such as planning, installation, inspection, corrective, scheduled, and preventative maintenance on utility/WWTP equipment including air compressors, HVAC units, piping, chillers, cooling towers, generators, etc.

•    During new facility construction, planning, manage installation, inspection, training.
•    Visually inspect utility equipment and facility issues to locate potential malfunctions, wear, misalignment, defective parts, and deterioration.
•    Management of maintenance mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components of utility generation equipment such as air compressors, compressed air dryers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers and HVAC systems.
•    Respond to work requests and service calls as directed performing a variety of tasks that support the organization.
•    Management with project support by providing troubleshooting, applying knowledge, providing sketches or computer-generated designs of machine/facility components.
•    Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
