SAP Consultant

The SAP Operations Manager is responsible for the overall stability, performance, and day-to-day management of the companys SAP landscape. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP system administration, user support, and change management. This role involves proactive system monitoring, troubleshooting, and collaboration with various business and IT teams to ensure the SAP systems meet operational and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
System Management and Maintenance

Oversee the daily operations and ongoing maintenance of SAP systems (e.g., S/4HANA) and databases (e.g., HANA, SQL) to ensure high availability and optimal performance.

  • User Support and Training

Provide technical support to end-users, resolve incidents, and address requests related to SAP systems. Conduct training sessions for new features and processes as needed.

  • System Enhancement and Expansion

Participate in system capacity planning and propose continuous improvement activities to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Collaboration and Communication

Act as a liaison between the SAP team and other IT departments (e.g., infrastructure, security). Work with external vendors and service providers to resolve issues and manage technical support.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Experience

5+ years of experience in ERP operations or Basis administration or programming development

(Preferred) Experience with SAP

  • Technical Knowledge

In-depth knowledge of SAP systems (ERP, S/4HANA, etc.) and database management (HANA, etc.). Understanding of ITSM (IT Service Management) and ITIL processes.

(Preferred) Experience with cloud-based SAP environments (AWS, Azure)

  • Problem-Solving

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

  • Communication

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with various teams and stakeholders, and a mindset for IT services in the manufacturing industry is essential.

To communicate in both Korean and English with people.

  • Adaptability

Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • DB & Programming

Experience in program development and database processing.

(Preferred) ABAP with SAP, MS-SQL, WEB

  • Education

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

MAJOR FUNCTION:

  1. Focus on SAFETY, QUALITY and PRODUCTIVITY
  2. Perform production activities as outlined in company policies and work
  3. Follow 3C 5S on the production floor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Operate machines assigned individually to perform production activities.
  2. Follow work standards and team leaders or supervisors instructions.
  3. Conduct visual self-quality inspections on parts during production activities.
  4. Conduct daily equipment inspection and perform basic record keeping.
  5. Comply to safe work practices and make sure all required PPE are prepared.
  6. Improve operators cycle time by suggesting layout modification to team leaders or supervisors.
  7. Conduct rework activities and defect tracking processes.

PREREQUISITES FOR THE JOB:

  1. High School diploma / GED
  2. Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  3. Welding experience – MIG welding
  4. Ability to read and follow written instructions.
  5. Excellent hand and eye coordination
  6. Able to lift objects weigh more than 50 lbs occasionally.

Organizational Relationships:

  1. Accountable to the Production Team Leader or Supervisor for all phases of activities.
  2. Advises, consults, and coordinates with: Production Team Members / Operators

MAJOR FUNCTION

  1. Manage and ensures inventory of semi-finished and complete parts
  2. Analyze assembly and press team downtimes and proceed improvement plans
  3. Modify and adjust process and operation flow on the production work area to increase productivity and quality levels
  4. Manage department attendance and any attendance related issues
  5. Establish annual production plans
  6. Manage any audit preparation process
  7. Ensure associates follow all safety requirements and programs

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Execute and evaluate floor working environment improvement plans
  2. Set up and evaluate 3C 5S plans on production area
  3. Analyze downtimes and establish a countermeasure
  4. Modify or adjust production process and procedure for operation efficiency
  5. Check on assembly/press current work status and improvement plan progress status
  6. Check on current status of production team attendance and evaluate assembly/press lines to confirm required number of employees (T/O). Request H.R for more hires as necessary
  7. Manage and control overtime for assembly/press lines
  8. Set up and lead execution of corrective action plans for both productivity and quality issues
  9. Set up or modify productivity improvement plans and participate in
  10. Manage and set up new model try out plans, employee T/O, and follow up with results. Modify and adjust plans as necessary
  11. Maintain accurate records of production progress in relationship to current requirement and goals
  12. Forecast manning needs based upon annual requirements

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Managers are responsible and authorized to supervise all production department employees in case of emergency or contingency

PREREQUISITES FOR THE JOB

  1. Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Automotive Engineering
  2. Five (5) or more years of production management experience in automobile manufacturing industry, or an equivalent combination of education and manufacturing experience
  3. Robot/press operation and process knowledge preferred
  4. Must be able to communicate with all levels of workforce
  5. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
