Summary of Job Function
The Shipping Associate is responsible for executing daily shipping operations to ensure on-time delivery, accurate handling of products, and continuous support of production flow. This role requires strict adherence to shipping schedules, proper inventory handling, and safe operation of material handling equipment. The associate must be detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Reports to: Production Management / Shipping Supervisor

Works closely with: Production Team, Logistics, Production Management

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Shipping Execution & Delivery Compliance

• Execute daily shipping schedules in accordance with planned delivery times and quantities.
• Ensure all shipments are completed accurately without delays, shortages, or errors.
• Verify shipment details before dispatch to ensure correct products, quantities, and destinations.

2. Packaging & Inventory Handling

• Pack finished goods in a timely manner to prevent accumulation of unpacked inventory.
• Move and store packaged products in designated inventory locations accurately.
• Ensure all products are properly secured and protected during handling and shipment to prevent damage.

3. Production Support & Container Management

• Supply empty returnable containers (racks/dunnage) to production lines without interruption.
• Monitor container flow to ensure production operations are not disrupted.
• Assist in maintaining smooth material flow between production and shipping areas.

4. Equipment Operation & Safety

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment as required for loading, unloading, and stacking materials.
• Perform double-stacking and unloading of containers safely and efficiently.
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines when handling equipment and materials.

5. Multi-tasking & Operational Flexibility

• Handle multiple shipping-related tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Adapt to various packaging methods and shipping processes depending on product type and customer requirements.
• Support other logistics and production-related tasks as needed.

6. Workplace Organization & FIFO Compliance

• Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work environment at all times.
• Adhere strictly to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles to ensure proper inventory rotation and prevent obsolescence or quality issues.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience:
• Experience in shipping, warehouse, or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic understanding of logistics and material handling processes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Forklift operation experience or certification.
• Experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments.

Summary of Job Function

Facilitates the daily activities related to the manufacture of components and/or finished product. Production Supervisor will provide leadership and motivation to Team Members to achieve desired quality, quantity, service and cost standards through safe and proper utilization of materials and equipment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Lead and train Team Members assigned to rotating shift.

Drive Team Members to proactively achieve zero injuries/safety incidents.

Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality and changes in working conditions.

Resource shift in order to meet production schedules.

Sustain high levels of product quality with a target of zero quality defects or complaints.

Communicate expectations and hold Team Members accountable for delivering exceptional performance results.

Foster an environment that promotes teamwork.

Maintain and manage all Team Member records.

Summary of Job Function

The Production Specialist supports day-to-day shop floor execution by monitoring production performance, identifying and analyzing downtime and operational issues, and driving improvement activities. This role ensures that daily production plans and UPH targets are tracked across Main, Sub, and Welding lines, that SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are maintained and followed, and that key operational data is accurately reported.

The Production Specialist is a hands-on floor role and works within the reporting structure of Production Specialist Production Manager, providing timely updates, analysis, and recommendations to support KPI achievement.

Duties and Responsibilities

Daily Production Support & UPH Tracking

Track daily production plans and UPH targets across Main, Sub, and Welding lines on a shift basis.

Monitor plan vs. actual performance, bottlenecks, staffing/material impacts, and line constraints.

Prepare and submit daily performance updates in a standard format to the Production Assistant Manager.

When targets are at risk, identify contributing factors (manpower, equipment, material, process) and recommend immediate countermeasures.

Downtime Analysis & Root Cause Support

Capture downtime facts in real time (start/end time, symptoms, frequency, affected process, impact).

Perform initial analysis using basic problem-solving tools (trend review, 5-Why) and propose likely root causes and corrective actions. Summarize recurring issues and propose improvement topics for review and prioritization.

SOP Update & Operator Training Support

Support updates to SOPs and work instructions based on process changes, quality findings, or safety requirements. Train and coach new operators (OJT support) to ensure proper understanding and compliance with standard work. Identify SOP non-compliance and coordinate retraining or corrective coaching through the Production Assistant Manager.

Lead and execute Kaizen activities at the working level to improve productivity, quality, and safety (waste reduction, layout/flow improvement, standardized work). Quantify results using measurable metrics (UPH, efficiency, downtime, scrap/defects, safety observations) and create before/after summaries. Coordinate implementation with the Production Assistant Manager and escalate high-impact changes for Production Manager review when required.

Duties and Responsibilities
Perform any assembly type functions and pack customer orders utilizing various equipment and machinery.
Load and unload products onto various machinery.
Operates any equipment needed to perform job.
Assembles material to produce assemblies or finished products from raw materials.
Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
Pack finished product into correct packages.
Notify Team Leader or Supervisor of any issues, including mechanical and material issues.
Keep the work environment safe and clean at all times.
All Team Members are expected to be available to work in all areas of production.
Performs other duties and assignments as required.
Required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed.
1st shift (6:30 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.)
8-hour shifts; Required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Ability to use power hand tools/or precision measurement equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs on a consistent basis without accommodation.
Ability to follow oral and written work instructions.
Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled area (where applicable).
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Maintain strict confidentiality of any proprietary business-related information to which entrusted.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required.

Education and/or Experience
Must be a minimum of 18 years old
High school diploma or GED (Preferred)
Automotive or Automotive Component Manufacturing (Preferred)
