Georgia to Expand EV Charging Infrastructure

Georgia is set to make a substantial leap in its electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, with the addition of 26 new fast-charging stations across the state. The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has approved a $24.4 million grant, secured through the federal National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) program, to fund this expansion. Each of these new sites will feature advanced fast chargers, capable of fully recharging electric vehicles in approximately 20 minutes, significantly reducing charging times and making EV travel more convenient for Georgians.
