EV Jobs in Georgia: High Salaries, Fast Hiring, and Opportunities for All

The future of transportation is here. And the electric vehicle (EV) industry continues to spur economic development and generate job opportunities across Georgia.

From January through June this year, EV companies and their suppliers showed a steady and robust demand for workers, with 316 unique job postings and more than 717 EV-related job listings. Metro areas like Atlanta, Savannah, and Athens led the state in EV hires, but the industry’s rapid growth requires a deep and diverse talent pool, stretching across regions.

According to WorkSource Georgia, software developers, electrical engineers, and automotive service technicians emerged as the top EV occupations during the first two quarters of 2025. Job candidates can find hands-on roles in maintenance, positions in logistics and supply chains, and more specialized roles in high-tech design. Additional positions in inspections, purchasing management, and customer service remain in high demand, rounding out a robust ecosystem of career possibilities.

Those career opportunities bring high salaries as the median advertised salary for EV-related jobs in Georgia stands at $83,700 — a healthy, family-sustaining wage. What’s more, these salaries have risen by 57% in three short years, underscoring the EV job market’s tremendous growth and competitive edge.

With such a promising outlook, e-mobility attracts candidates at all education levels and entry points, starting with a high school diploma or certification to an associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree, and above.

And the field cannot fill positions quickly enough. With job posts lasting roughly 18 days, employers like SK Battery America, Ford, Cox Automotive, Siemens, and ABM Industries are actively seeking talent statewide to fill these roles quickly.

According to the Georgia Department of Economic Development, since 2018, the state has announced more than $27.3 billion in EV investments and more than 32,000 anticipated jobs, making Georgia a national hub for e-mobility.
